Your art board should be setup as 15" wide x 22" tall if the artwork is going to be as large as possible on the apparel and 4" wide but no taller than 3" tall if you are doing a pocket area or sleeve.
For screen printed apparel, the maximum amount of colors per side is 7. Anything with more that seven colors will need to be printed digitally and will be more expensive. If your design will be screen printed, please use spot colors(Pantone or Hex) otherwise, we will match the color as close as possible.
Keep in mind that fine or small details may not be printable, or may not print as expected. We will inform you if an area of your artwork will not print well.
For successful screen printing, the best format for artwork is vector. We suggest Adobe Illustrator. Always change your text to outlines before sending the file.
If using Adobe Photoshop, place each color on a separate layer, do not merge layers - and send the font files that you used in the design. Make sure your artwork is the size you want it to be on the shirt and is 300dpi.

For imprints of color photos or complicated designs that use gradients, halftones and shadows, a digital print may be necessary.
Other file formats can be acceptable depending on the design, as long as the artwork is at least 300dpi at the size you want it printed. Artwork from the internet is 72dp, which does not produce a print quality resolution.
The maximum size for screen printing on the front and back of a standard adult shirt is 15" wide and 20" high, depending on the shirt you are ordering. For other locations, such as sleeves, or other apparel, call for dimensions.
If possible, send mockups to show your preference for the size and placement of the artwork, as well as the artwork on it's own. Unless a background is part of the design, please send the artwork with no backgrounds.
To add names to the back of your shirt, please send us an excel or word document with the names and the size of the person's shirt. (Please check the spelling of each name, we do not check name lists for errors. They are sent directly to the screen printer.)
When embroidering, as long as your image is at 300dpi, at the final size, any of the popular file formats are acceptable. Keep in mind that gradients and complicated designs will have to be altered to be embroidered. Small text will have to be enlarged, depending on the size.
If you are just embroidering text on your shirt, click here to see standard fonts that are available. If you want fonts other than these, please send us your text in that font in one of the file formats above. You will need to send the font file as well.
